I lived here for two years and don't recommend it.
In two years we had three property managers. That alone says a lot.
The complex needs updating, the outside looks drab, there isn't nearly enough guest parking, the indoor garage always has litter in it, and the hallways look run down (dirty carpets and walls). The gym is pathetic and I'm sure rent is higher to cover the insurance on it. Little kids are always running around the hallways, and lazy tenants leave outside doors propped open. The parking garage is also too small; the cars are wedged in there, and if you're unfortunate like me, your little coupe will be forced to park next to an SUV. Not enough room at all.
I've had some major issues there, too.
1, when maintenance came into my apartment to do scheduled work, they left my door unlocked. For compensation all I got was a $25 Mobil gift card. I would have expected half my month's rent to be docked. This was a pathetic attempt to salvage the situation.
2, someone from the cable company accidentally turned off my unit, and when they came back to turn it back on, they couldn't get into the cable room because no one was in the office any time they came over during the course of three days. I feel like half the time I walk by the leasing office no one is there. Forget it if you need help on the weekends or at night (you know, the times working folks can deal with these situations ...).
3, I once came home around 2am on a Saturday night and the garage door wouldn't open and all the guest spaces were taken (not a surprise considering there is a severe lack of guest parking there). It was a nightmare to deal with (was forced to park across the street at Wal-Mart).
The only good parts are the location and maintenance. You can't beat the location, as every type of shopping is within a mile of the place, and even though you're right off a main road, you can't hear street traffic. Maintenance is also good in that they respond to calls efficiently. Just make sure they lock your door when they're done. Oh and they do allow pets, which is good if you're a pet owner, but you can hear barking dogs from neighbors. Also they charge a HUGE fee to have a pet.
For the amount they charge per month you're better off just buying a condo. Most like your mortgage, common fees and taxes will be less than their price gauging.
