Since living here, for several years now,I've had 2 different Property Managers. The LINDA L DENOIA REAL ESTATE was the first encounter. Linda never listened to anyones complaints, didn't return calls. Meanwhile the building has maintenance needs not being met. Very disgruntled tenants!
Northeast Property Group has taken over, and I'm satisfied with them, so far. The grounds stay mowed, clean, and Isabella Peterson is prompt with servicing peoples needs. The Blackstone has residents that have lived there for over 30years. The majority is 50 . So it is very quite. Recently a few younger people have moved in. Some with children. Most of the elderly are upset by this. But it is not stated in the lease that you must be a certain age to live there..
The building could definitely use some upgrades, it is a shame to see it go downhill. The windows are very large and most do not close all the way. Single pain, does nothing for keeping heat in or out. Some apartments have 3 built in AC units, some have one. It is very difficult to find the proper size AC to fit into the hole in the wall. The building also has many leaks. Which creates mold, ruining carpets and painted walls. The elevator is very old, so when it breaks, which has happened twice in 1 year. It is hard to make parts for something that ancient. A lady was trapped in it for 3 hrs one day. The firemen finally got her out. This was Denoia's fault because we had told her that is was breaking down, but she did not listen. This was 13wks of NO elevator, before they could get the right parts. The tenants were REALLY upset. Stuck in they're apartments, because some could not go down 6 flights of stairs!
I hope the Blackstone gets the attention it deserves, it is a nice building and I want it to stay standing!
