I lived in Rocky Hill for a year and a half. I lived in the "garden-style homes" which are now under new management and renamed "Glenbrook."

Pros: The one-bedroom unit I had was pretty spacious with ample closets and a large master bedroom. Our neighbors on our floor were very quiet and the laundry was below us which never was an issue. There was ample parking and was convient to the highway. The grounds were fairly nice and quiet.

Negatives: The insulation was awful. Our unit had free heat because the windows were single-paned and drafty and the complex didn't want to pay to replace all of the windows (which is what I was told when I called to complain about the cold air coming through constantly in the winter). Additionally, the toilet did not line up with the floor so every time you sat down and got up it made a loud noise. This was particularly annoying because our neighbor's (upstairs) toilet would do this as well and wake us up at all hours and startle us.
Plowing by maintenance was horrible. I couldn't get out for work many times (and I didn't have to be at work until 10am) because they didn't come early enough to plow. Also, you could only request maintenance by calling a phone number and leaving a message. Often the messages were not followed up with because after they installed new fire alarms I called to have them paint the wall white where they had drilled in a hole and they never called me back, let alone come and paint!
White carpeting' Not a good idea. No central air with big windows with sunlight shining in' Clearly outdated. Outdated kitchen floors and cabinets and bathroom tile as well.
