This place is overpriced and HORRIBLE

The management company only values their residents until the day the lease is signed and they have their money in hand. The place allows dogs, although we do not have a dog. On our lease, it specifies that a dog should not be more than 30 pounds, but I heard a rumor recently that they are now allowing larger dogs...and I have seen many labradors, dalmations, even a rottweiler on premises. The building I lived in had 1 empty apartment for about 4 months since we moved in, and NO dogs in any other apartment. We have a 6 month old baby, and they decide to rent the apartment below us to a woman with a terrier that barks day and night non stop. Mind you, there were plenty of other empty apartments in the complex. Now our son doesn't sleep at night, and neither do we. We've contacted the office several times with our complaints, and rather than fix the problem, they have offered us the option of leaving our lease early without the usual penalty. They also advised us to contact the police with any noise problems. So we did, and the police and the dog warden advised us to contact the management. There is NO accountability.
In the wintertime, they hired some cheap company to plow our cars in, so everyone had to dig them out. In order to cut corners and save a few dollars, they did not pay the plowers to do any extra's, such as sanding, removing ice patches, or salt. After several complaints and several snowfalls this past winter, the manager left a notice outside everyone's door giving us 12 hours advance notice to move our vehicles to accomodate a mass snow REMOVAL project which was to take place the next day. FINALLY I thought they would take care of the sheet of ice on the sidewalk and in the parking lot. NO SUCH LUCK! We not only had to rearrange our lives (work and baby) to move both our vehicles (or they would be TOWED, the notice threatened), but all they did was move the snow around...no salt, no sand, and no ice removal.
The management does everything it can to make the outside grounds LOOK pretty, and even the apartments inside LOOK nice enough. They do what they have to do to attract new and unaware tenants. Unfortunately, once you're inside, you are dealing with the constant noise, maintenance issues, rudeness from the staff, and you are paying so much money that you might as well be paying a mortgage.
