Serenity is an overstatement. The only form of serenity I have seen in over a year here is from your neighbors ignoring you. There is little vigilance at night, because everyone is either tired or completely shut in to avoid being in public.
The outside landscaping is at best a mask, and does not mirror the inside of the apartments. Noise comes right through the walls and doors. I can directly view shoes standing outside my door (the gaps are so big in the door fixtures). It is only by the grace of god that my upstairs neighbor isn't around too much because all the floors sound like an old creaky life raft that is about to sink.
I would say it is well below average as far as a place to even temporarliy raise a family. The news cameras reporting on the international drug organization that was working out of here made me feel really insecure. What did Taragon Management and Forest Park do to re-assure its tenants'....NOTHING. The only enforcement activity here has been to have cars ticketed for parking in the fire zone near the laundry room (which coincidently is where the staff gets to park all day long).
