Live Elsewhere

We made a mistake living here, which we realized upon move in when our unit wasn't in acceptable condition and we had several things that needed to be fixed just off the bat, some of which are issues that were ignored and never resolved. The management and maintenance are so rude and have no concept of customer service skills. They are extremely condescending and up tight. And the neighbors aren't much better. Don't expect to have too much fun around here - everyone we've met is boring and/or way too up tight, and I've even gotten flicked off in the parking lot! This complex has so many rules that it feels more like a college dorm than a home. If you don't mind being controlled and held down, being treated like a child, maybe you'll like it here... but for laid back easy going folks who enjoy their personal freedoms and living like independent adults... look elsewhere. One example is trying to get packages delivered to you. Rather than leaving packages at your door, packages are brought to the leasing office which is only open during business hours (when normal people are working) so it's extremely difficult to find time when they are open to collect your packages (so don't bother paying extra for expedited shipping because it will still take you days to get it). Then when you do go to get your packages, you usually have to wait to be helped, and the "help" is often quite rude as I mentioned. However there is one individual who works at the leasing office whom I find to be extremely kind and friendly, and unfortunately this is the exception rather than the norm. Also a note on the parking- they idiotically have pine trees lining their parking lots so that thick sap drips on to your car, ruining the exterior. It does not come off! And the noise is a bit much during the warmer months when windows are open and you can hear people fighting constantly and they keep you up/wake you up at night. If you do choose to live here it better be on the top floor otherwise you will hear people stomping above you, which is also extremely disturbing when you're trying to sleep - the management will tell you the floors/ceilings are thick enough, but they're not. It is also way too hot in the summer months and you need to keep the AC on constantly to be comfortable (and warm temperatures usually don't bother me). It's nice in the winter because you don't need to use the heat, but the heat is included so I wouldn't mind using it if I had to, whereas I have to pay for the AC. The place doesn't look particularly special, although I have seen worse complexes so I'll give it that. This place makes us truly miss our previous landlords and freedoms, and we are already looking to buy our own place so we can leave as soon as this lease is up!

Amen, I am right there with you. They just again switched management staff and it went from bad to worse. They might as well just come out and say just shut up and give us your rent check because were not doing anything else for you. The are very unresponsive, rude and lazy.
They think it is alright to leave dog ---- sitting (that some ignorant slob) left in the middle of the sidewalk because "it is not a priority" when there are things to fixed and don't care that there are children around that may play near it or someone may not see it in the dark and step in it.
Our nieghbors constantly vacuum at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00 in the morning and the office will see it's not thier problem even though it's in the lease about noise at certain hours. Other neighbors drive up and down the grass doing 50 mph almost running over other people. Which is no wonder since the maintainance staff also drive up on the sidewalk and park right in the grass right in front of the "no parking on grass sign" with both work and personal vehicles.
Except for the office and the areas you can see from the roadways the grounds are a disaster area with ruts and holes.
Although many of our neighbors are very friendly and outgoing so I can't agree with you on that one it's just the office staff that bites the big one.

Well we havent really had the internal issues as we live on the third floor, and yes our AC was on everyday but it equals out to not paying the heat in the winter. Yes it is very frustrating about the DOG crap that sits in the grass and whatnot, and that they told us back after the fire in our building back around easter, that all grills had to be removed well guess what we removed ours and there are still freakin' grills on balconies around our building that really burns my boyfriend and i, to the point im ready to go and get it back, we werent able to grill outside at all this summer, which sucks because more AC is needed because you are heating the kitchen because the stove is running. And now the NEW stupid rule of clearing the hallways, well i must say if people cleaned up after their dogs and the damn lawn mowers didnt leave chucks of grass my shoes wouldnt have been taken yesterday. So i called the office trying to get my stuff back. I wouldnt have to leave my shoes outside in the hallway if people cleaned up and the mower didnt leave grass chucks that eventually get wet on the bottoms of my shoes. It's pretty sad we have done everything else that has been asked of us, clean up after our puppy which i would anyway thats has i was taught, and got rid of our grill, what else could be next. this is our second year here but the fact that you try and place a work order and get no response because the person you once were emailing and getting response from has been let go so your emails are just sitting in an inbow somewhere, i was trying to get a new UPDATED AC for our living room that wouldnt happen now because WINTER is coming. this was like two or three weeks ago they came in to check it, still waiting. and our light in the refrigerator the socket itself is loose and only works when it wants to, yeah they supposively looked at and fixed it, yeah still isnt fixed. little things is what tick me off.

The funny thing is, when i moved in a little over a yr ago they said they had a club house and pool. WRONG... We had to use the other apt complex's. But we couldn't use their pool. Now that they have finally completed construction of ours they want me to Pay More to use it. As if $1200 a month for a 1 bedroom apt wasn't enough......
