You will regret it

I am trying to bring in a balanced view. If you are inelastic to price, this is probably an okay place to stay, given that the apartments are not too old and the location is convenient. Even then, I must say that the construction quality is poor, behind the glamour and glitz. Parking is okay, with reserved underground spots.
However, the big negative is the attitude of the manager. The smile vanishes once you sign the lease. She is totally inflexible. I have often wondered if I would be better off dealing with a robot rather than her, because she is as good as a machine, in terms of coming to any humanitarian considerations, whatsoever.
God help you if it comes to a lease breakage because you can forget concession of even a penny or an extra day this way or that way, even if you repeatedly plead with her. I have stayed in 4 apartment complexes over the last 6 years and I have never come across such a totally inflexible and indifferent attitude.
We had two critical problems ?? there was a drainage pipe running right below our bedroom and everytime it rained (which is almost every day here) the rain beats on the pipe, making it impossible to sleep. We brought it to their notice and nothing was done about it, period. We were told quite bluntly that we had to live with it. We resorted to earplugs daily or sleeping in the living room depending on the intensity of the rain. So much for paying a premium rent and not even being able to sleep in one??s own bedroom in a ??luxury?? apartment complex.
Secondly, we had asked before signing the lease about lease breakage policies and the way she made it sound was as if there were three options and that something could be easily worked out with minimal monetary loss to us. When it actually came to breaking the lease, she put a different tinge on the same options and suddenly they were all looking equally bad. If she had been upfront with us and been clear, we wouldn??t have signed the lease at all here. Clearly it was a case of cleverly misrepresenting things initially to get us to sign the lease.
Inspite of the buildings being only 15 years old, there are quite a lot of bugs within the apartment that appear despite careful maintenance, thanks to the swimming pool and trees in close proximity. The wooden panels in the bathroom and kitchen are made of cheap material and give way very quickly. The design in the bathroom sink is very poor with water staying on the countertop with even a minor usage, leaving it in a wet environment all the time and thereby allowing mildew buildup quickly.
I urge everyone to take everything into account before signing a lease here, lest you regret it soon after.
