After seeing just about every apartment in Stamford (and being a NYC renter for 8 years)I can say that the biggest difference for this place is the construction of the builing - it is not only an outstanding building that everyone remembers once seen, but it is solid, solid, solid.
I have had a couch leg break through a floor, parts of walls come off while hanging a picture, and can hear the entiretly of my neighbors lives. You won't have these problems here and you will be safe, secure, and well taken care of.
One tip: The biggest offender in this area are the Avalon Apartments, they are cheaply built (noisy!) and are WAY, WAY ovepriced for nothing in return - you could live in a bulletproof pre-war building in the city for half the rent! I do enjoy the view from my wall of windows in my apartment - looking DOWN on the Avalon :) bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
