first place we lived in when my wife & i moved to stamford, was ok (for the price) when it was an avalon, a few months after we moved in the Cornerstone took over..... maintenance is lazy, slow & at times not friendly (from what i hear, they never really act up w/ the male tenants).....
we lived on the top floor & had a mouse (14 stories up!).....they said they couldn't get anyone up to my apartment till wednesday (it was Sunday when i saw it), for the rent i pay, come get the freaking mouse.....i had to go out, get my own traps. the best part is i was supposed to be notified with a document that an exterminator came to the apartment, nobody showed up, when my wife asked maintenance if they came, they tried to say the TRAPS I BOUT & LAYED OUT WERE THEIRS, in the end we never caught the mouse (maybe baby rat.....it was kinda big) but we never saw the critter again.
GETS BETTER.....in the summer i can see from my balcony (only thing we liked about place was w had huge balcony & great view of city), i would look straight down 14 stories & see RATS, yes RATS.....BIG SUCKERS running across the walk way, climbing trees, etc. one night my wife & i came home from dinner, & sitting on the trash can outside by the entrance to the lobby was a RAT. this happened more than once where we would see rats (not mice, they usually stayed in the bushes or grass) by the entrances (Front & Rear).....
Still Gets EVEN BETTER.....we decided this place was getting dumpier & dumpier, in the summer the pool looked like cell Block C with the crowd that was there, i would see more rodents running around at night (again i'm 14 floors up so they must have been rats to see them that big), a cute apartment & nice balcony w/ views only goes so far, lol....we rode out the last 6-7 months of are lease, left for a much classier & maintained high rise building in stamford.....took us 3-31/2 months to get our security deposit back.....wasn't until i left a message i was contacting a lawyer (by the lease i was supposed to get it in 30 days), explained i've been more than patient & would go the legal route & they finally called me back, got my $ in a week (another thing, u have to leave 5 messages & maybe u get a call back)
STAY AWAY!.....shame is w/ the size property they have, place could be nice.....even very nice......but IS NOT!
