Where to even begin....
-We were lied to about utilities we had to pay when we signed the lease (although I accept fault for being naive and not reading through the lease entirely).
-Was told elevator renovations would take 2 months.......took 8 (majority of the time I lived there)
-I heard the leasing staff repeatedly lie to prospective renters who were looking at the place about how the elevators "should be done in the next week or two" (heard this for about 4-5 months)
-Was told my apartment was one of the newly renovated ones, and realized after moving in that it certainly was not.
-Our carpet shed for 6 months (had to vacuum every day).
-Called about cockroach problem for 2 days, finally went down to leasing office and said they could have someone there 4 days from then. Also told me to take all of my stuff out of the Kitchen and put in in the Living Room (not fun), and when the exterminator finally got there, he told me that was --------.
-Washers ate at least $50 of my money while i lived there (only thing that always worked was their ability to take money).
-The porch door never locked
-The front door had gaps so big that it did virtually nothing to keep out the wind (kind of sucky when you're on the 10th floor)
-Upon checkout they tried charging us $450 for damages (including $30 for 2 burnt out lightbulbs...). They finally lowered it to under $200 but only after we had to go above the maintenance staff to the property manager to argue our case.

LEASING STAFF
-Some very nice (and very nice to look at) while others just seem bothered by your requests.

MAINTENANCE STAFF
-Oh boy.... I will admit, there are a couple who are courteous, professional, and handled any issue I had quickly and completely....BUT....the majority of the staff are rude, aggresively argumentative, and do not do a decent job. I've never encountered a more surly and unprofessional group in my life. I paid way more than I cared to to live at that place, the least I can ask for is for problems to be fixed in a somewhat reasonable timeframe, and in a professional way.

After reading through your review, I felt so....... darn good about my life. Because, this is where my now ex husband lives with his w#@re (in 1435 apt 14B), after I kicked him out (for cheating) of our 3500 sqft home which we used to lived with our children. Although, I also had to leave our home as I couldn't afford that by myself, I downsized myself to a beautiful 2000 sqft town house, which I own, while he is still sleeping with the roaches :)I guess that metaphor work both ways.
