Although the location is convinient, you get a cheaply constructed apartment with thin walls (I could hear the neighbor's TV through our walls). Depending on where your apartment is (I had the pleasure of living both in the front and the back of the building), you either hear drink people yelling in the alleys or Thursday night karaoke from SBC. They kill you on parking ($125/month); however, I think they are getting desperate to fill vacancies, so they will offer free parking - be sure to negotiate that when you sign a lease. If you plan to be a good tenant and stay 4 years (like us), they will hapily raise you rent when times are good (to which we obliged as we understood the market), but refuse to lower your rent when times are not so good. So, good luck when you apartment renews at $2,500, but a better apartment is on the market for $2,000. I think they count on the fact you will be too lazy to move. They will not even talk to you about lowering your rent. We moved out and are SO happy about it; I wish we moved a long time ago. They have been through two property managers and three leasing directors in two years. They currently do not have a property manager. The only nice thing I can say about this place is that the maintenance guys are wonderful and the concierge is typically very helpful and eager to help you.
