we're on a two year plan for this place. there's been some good times and some bad times...

despite routine exterminator visits there continues to be the same insects. they scare the crap out of you when you turn on a light and they run real quick, so good luck trying to kill them. we also just noticed a ton of ants by the elevator, subsequently causing maintenance to place ant traps in the apartments.

we've had multiple issues with drain pipes, washer/dryer, etc. we were told the first time that the drain backing up can be common...our sink backed up one time, which in turn caused the tub to back up, and the surprisingly the washer/dryer had backed up. we didn't find that out until we went to go wash some clothes a week later and stank water flooded our kitchen. so maintenance visited pretty frequently that week. needless to say we stopped using our washer/dryer and were promised a new one which we didnt see until more than 8 months later when we had another incident.
the pipes under the kitchen sink started leaking. it was "replaced" and just tonight we were washing dishes in the sink and sure enough the cabinet was flooded with water again. the new drain pipe they had put in was secured with electrical tape. smooth move -- like that's gonna hold for very long.

despite all the maintenance issues that we seem to have had, the guys that run the building are really nice. we've had them up here on a friday night with a wet vac, taking care of things when they're off duty. they are very efficient and friendly, i just dont know if everything in the building is so old that its just falling apart or what''' i do agree however with the management comments --> no personality, rude and act like they're better than you while you're standing in a 2 inch puddle of water. there's been many times where i feel like threatening not to pay the rent until they clean up their act.

on the plus side, parking is convenient but expensive. the walls are solid concrete so you cant hear a peep from your neighbors, or anyone walking around upstairs. the floor plan is really spacious compared to some other apartments in the area. the convenience of being close to downtown is great too if you're into going out to eat and to the bars. you can walk everywhere you need to.

thankfully we dont spend a ton of time here because of work, but i just wish that things ran a little more smoothly around here. all in all ill be happy when we're out of here but its good for the time being. just really frustrating when little things go wrong. hope this helps.
