I lived at Avalon Gates for a little over a year. Initially my experience at Avalon Gates was very positive until I moved out. When you move in to Avalon Gates it is extremely important that you go through your apartment with a fine tooth comb and document every spot on the carpet, stains on the kitchen counters, etc. They definitely don't intend to return a penny of your security deposit if it is left up to them. There were spots on my carpet when I moved in which I documented. They attempted to charge me $275 for stains on the carpet when I moved out claiming they were going to have to stain the carpet. Thank God I documented the fact the carpet was stained throughout the apartment prior to my move in. They do not come correct when it comes to your move out of the apartment. Make sure you have everything documented because no matter how well you clean prior to moving out, you will not receive your security deposit in full. They will come up with some bogous excuse to retain a portion of it an believe me they will attempt to retain a significant portion of it!
