We live here. There are LOTS of dog owners but dog feces only on occasion; pretty responsible. I don't mind hearing the frogs/pond (a nice retreat from the highway and hartford suburbs). Very pleasant, courtious staff and ample office hours. nice landscaping-lots of azaleas; some spring bulbs, shrubbery is well kempt and grass is mowed every week.
The location is close to civilizaton AND nature, 10 min. from the mall and 15 from Shenipset State Forest/Soapstone Mountain. Lots of restaurants nearby. Highway 83 is a little busy though, during rush-hour.
In moving here I liked the amount of space the one-bedroom had (ceiling and large living/bed rooms), and there is a TON of closet space. Walk-in in the bedroom, coat-closet in the bedroom; linen closet; living room coat closet, storage in the basement. Nice.
But, doing the laundry on a card is annoying (Mac Gray) and you have to haul it far. I think there are only three laundromats and you have to go to the office laundromat to charge the card. Laundry day is a bit of an ordeal. also, no assigned parking and sometimes it's a little far to walk. trash/mail are not bad in location though.
