I lived here for almost 2 years in a 2 bedroom first floor apartment and just moved out. I have read the reviews written by other people and I do have to say that I agree with all of the objective observations the residents made, positive and negative. I will outline the good and the bad as I experienced it.

Positives - It is located right on Rt.83 near many things (i.e. malls, food, car repair, etc.). Highway I-84 is literally about 1/4 mile down the road. Not terribly noisy tenants. Safe neighborhood and upscale as far as apartments in this area go. 2 bathrooms for the 2 bedroom setup. Private entrances for each apartment. Maintenance staff was quick to respond to and fix our request for new weatherstripping due to draftiness in winter.

Negatives - VERY expensive. As most of the other people stated, the rent goes up every year and there seems to be little to no visible improvement in amenities or services. Really this is by far the biggest negative that I have for this place. Also, NO UTILITIES are included and you must pay for trash services as well. Since there is gas service here it is not cheap when you add in electric, water, phone, tv, internet or whatever else.

Another negative, many people including me had our cars towed without any written or verbal warning from the staff even though it clearly states in the lease that they must give you 24 hour notice. The reason was that my registration sticker had just expired and so they considered it an "inoperable vehicle". When I tried to recitify it with them it was a hassle and they refused to see that they had not lived up to their own words in the lease.

All in all, my recommendation would be to look very seriously elsewhere before you commit to Briar Knoll. Living here was actually an overall positive experience for me and I would whole heartedly recommend it to people if not for their astronomical rent prices. However, if you're looking for a nice clean safe and upscale place and don't mind paying for it, this place could be for you. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
