hum where to start i am part of a new family and we are just starting out so we didn't have alot of money to throw away on an apt but we wanted something safe enough and with a few basic things air conditioning, enough parking, and neighbors that understood that not everyone here is a student. And to be able to save money to throw at a condo or house.
since moving in our UN renovated apt has rose 70$ in two years, not that ANYTHING has been done to improve the grounds other then a bit of mulch some dead grass and a flag pole or two. This apt complex use to be part of another apt that they sold off and is condos now, wonder what they did with that extra money they made from selling it.... oh ya nothing.... reading the other reviews i agree it has gone VERY VERY much downhill literally if you go down the street you run into the ghettos of vernon center and i guess we have fallen into that hole....
there has been at least 4 new office managers and each one is "anything i can do for you" kind of a person but its not really there fault they seam to try hard to do what they can its just that they have one maybe 2 maintenance people for the entire complex.... the women that cleans everything is rather nice if not very talkative and she holds doors open for you and keeps everything as clean as she can.... but overall there has been a regular stream of students and there loudness the girlfriend and boyfriend fights are always at 2 in the morning... the air conditioner is only good for one room and there is only one in the living room (in a single bedroom) and to be even a little cold at night in the bedroom you have to set up a fan blowing air into the bedroom with the air conditioner at FULL cold and on high setting (80-90$ a month in the summer for electric) up from 40 during the winter.....
over all if you don't care about how annoying and intrusive your neighbors are (we've had our fair share of weirdos) about getting ANYWHERE in a snowstorm (last year during a big storm the plow got half way up the hill got stuck and eventually left for about 2-3 hours) or how little people who work or live here actually like the place then this is the place for you

If it was such an awful place why did you live there for 2 years instead of leaving after the first year was up?
