In my web hunt I found this place. I am going to purchase www.HillsideTerraceSucks.com since that place ripped me off so bad. I'll post pictures of my place and testimony of what my friends noticed about the place upon visiting. Like the neighbors being loud after 10pm and nothing ever getting done about it and so much more. They also kept half my deposit thinking that since I moved out of state that I might not care. The insane fees were surprising especially the charge of $150 bucks for them to revacuum my rugs that I left spotless. Also my old upstairs neighbors jumping around made my dining room lamp covers fall so I replaced them with much nicer (more expensive ones), well the place took them out and put crappy cheap ones back and charged me $25 bucks as well. Let me see, take out nice expensive lamp covers and put back in cheap ones when the expensive ones had no issue and got many compliments by visitors. The two people that helped me move out were stunned when I told them about this. Most people in the state already know the place is a shameful dump but you out of state movers need to be warned! Mainly so you don't find out the way I did. Basically when you look at the apartments you need to look at the walls real close, the rugs real close, and the water damage marks in the storage, the doors missing knobs in the hallway, the bent in doors in the hallway, and the slight odor you may notice on the lower levels. I was in a slight rush to move in and missed all that myself and those would have been the signs to move on. The outside shows you how much they care about the place when you look at the poor work done there as well. In the end it's my fault for moving there and it wil be yours too, which is why I don't take them to court for my money back. I just didn't look close enough and got suckered.

P.S. There was a fee to remove my old bed from the dumpster area and I agree with that fee, but they also charged me for somebody else's table that they left out there, real nice. That's poor management for you!

If this is such a terrible place why did you rent from Hillside Terrace for 3years?? As for the charges to your apartment, nothing was cleaned the refrigerator and stove were filthy the drip pans were burnt up and you were informed of needing to replace them before you left. Also the carpet had stains and 2 bleach spots in the bedroom but we did not charge you for carpet cleaning. When I gave you your move-out instructions it clearly states that we will charge $30 for each large item left behind and we only charged you $40 for both the mattress & boxspring. If your upstairs neighbor had truly been responsible for breaking your chandelier globes then why was the office never notified so that we could replace them with the correct ones at no cost to you??

Typical. Another ex-resident who posts on a website with absolutely no credibility. Gee, I think I'll make my experience sound way worse than it was so people won't move here.

"Most people in the state already know the place is a shameful dump but you out of state movers need to be warned!"

Bahaha, most everybody in the world knows that these posts are filled with half-truths and exaggerations.

LOL previous poster makes a good point, if you hated it so much why did you stay for 3 years? Hmm.. plenty of other places to live in CT.

Ohh and, I have lived in CT for quite sometime and I'm sorry but I must have missed the bulletin about Hillside Terrace being a shameful dump.

Like I said, half-truths and exaggerations.

My advice, good look at the place for yourself and make your own judgment, don't listen to normal people turned who knows what because of a thing called anonymity.

Ya and I gave my boxing spring to a friend and the carpet was ------ when I moved in and the cracks in the wall are in the premove sheet if you review it. I loved getting blamed for the condition I recieved the apartment. Still a dump no matter how much the management tries to hype it up.
