Funny, I live here and have had no problems. This is an apartment housing with pets so if you don't have them then I can see your problem, but that is easy move! As far as hot water, and heating I have had no more of an issues then I have had anywhere else and the problem was usually fixed within a reasonable time. But if you are looking for a pet friendly, people friendly, with supportive neighbors, then this is the place for you. The park isn't far, and there are great fireworkd in July, you are close to everything from a meat packing store with great prices to the mall yet you are in the woods. Highway is close and Hartford is a nice relaxing cruise, believe me I know I have made the trip for over 20 years. There is also a 24 hour Walmart close by and alot of foot and 4-wheel drive trails around. The perfect place is heaven and I am not there yet everything has it's ups and downs but for safety and comfort, I like right where I am, at Hillside!

I think a recent responder on a previous post on here said it best so I'm going to just cut & paste: "*most* apartments are going to have both satisfied and unsatisfied people its just a fact of life. Our standards/perceptions/past experiences/comparisons are going to differ." Just because you've had no problems doesn't mean its "funny" that other people have. Perhaps you've got low standards?? Or maybe other people just have much higher standards than you?? Of course when it comes to the issue of vandalism and security problems we can't argue on "standards" we just have to call a spade a spade. I have been renting for over 15 years in 3 different states, this is my seventh apartment home and I have never had at any other place the issue that this place does with hot water. I have been without hot water at least 10 times during the winter. That is far worse than any other place I've lived in. Only one other place I had didn't have hot water on one occassion. Every other place I had never had not even one issue with hot water. Obviously the "fixes" this place does on the hot water are quick, cheap fixes otherwise it wouldn't keep happening.
