I don't know what these pissed-off guys are talking about. The apartment managers have always been pretty darn nice to me. One of them just went out of his way to make sure I had internet during a nasty winter storm. That sounds like good service to me...
I've been living here for six months and I haven't had any problems with anyone. The place is expensive, yeah, but its mostly brand new and its in great shape. The central AC is powerful and the heat works well. Having a washer/dryer is great too.
DSL works better than the MDU cable internet here but if that is my biggest problem then I guess this place is pretty good.
