Mt Vernon is a great place to live, especially if it's your first apartment. The office staff is very friendly, and they are very responsive to maintenance requests. The grounds are faily well kept. They are also very good about shoveling after storms. The place is well-lit. It can be hard if you have noisy neighbors, but most apartments have two rooms, so you can go into the other room and get away from it. There are no washer/dryer hookups in the apartments, but the coin-op laundry in the basement is very clean. The basement storage space is a definite plus!!

Too bad there's carpeting in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets could use some help too. Other than that, great place!
