I found my apartment to be clean and well-maintained. The high ceilings were gorgeous and I hung plants from my beams (I had to get a tall ladder to do it!). They redid the carpets on my hall while I lived there so the complaints about ugly stained carpeting aren't really valid. I thought the grounds were pretty and well-maintained and that the brook running past the front of the building was a nice touch. Yes, there are a handful of people who were bad about picking up after their pets but the only time I saw dog poop actually in the hallway the owner was running down the hall with papertowels to clean it up and apologizing.

There were minor problems with crime in the area (I saw one car with slashed tires and one car with a broken window (in the dirt overflow parking lot) in the entire 4 years I lived there) but nothing even approaching "ghetto" (the people who said that have clearly never lived in an actual city). I found the security guard to be friendly and polite most of the time.

The only really major complaint I had was parking. There was not enough visitor parking and it was only because I was friendly with someone in the office that I got a second assigned spot for my second car... which I would have had to give up if enough couples moved in and the lot filled up (I was single so I only got one assigned spot despite owning two cars).

I eventually left because I wanted to live somewhere with an actual garage for my cars.

it's interesting that you find the greater rockville area so appealing. maybe this speaks to your class level, rather than those who found it filthy having never lived in an actual city.

people are retarded....the place is nice...if people want to be allowed to have their dogs in this building, you will run into an accident once in awhile...not a huge deal...the big thing is...the security guy may seem like an -------..but considering the area, he needs to be a hardass in order to protect the area like it should be....the office staff would be my only complaint...while perfectly nice....they are not that efficient with returning phone calls or following up ..unless of course you owe them something....parking can be a ----- sometimes...but what the hell do you want them to do...stretch it out?
