While I have only been a resident here for a short time, Iýd like to put my two cents in about Woodbrook apartments. It would seem that many of the comments I have read concerning this complex and totally inaccurate and have been written by children with access to a computer. Their ýsour grapesý commentary is completely unfounded and not supported by facts.

The office staff is cheerful, helpful and professional. The present office manager is kind and courteous. She goes out of her way to make your residency ýwork.ý I am new to this area and she was most helpful with directions, recommendations and assurances that any newbie would have. Anyone who thinks being a ýden motherý to several hundred people is easy should consider walking in her shoes for a few hours. She is completely competent and follows through on every detail or question.

The maintenance staff is prompt, thorough and courteous. Even minor complaints are handling swiftly and completely. My few minor problems [dirty light fixtures and burned out bulbs] were corrected in less than 24 hours. A scratch on the wall was fixed and the maintenance guy even left me with some paint for any future dings I might cause while moving in.

When moving in, you are given a checklist to complete to report any apparent damage when you take possession. With a digital camera, I was able to record any and all scratches, cracks and blemishes on surfaces in the townhouse. That was submitted to management on a CD-ROM along with the report. When I move along from this place, I fully expect my security deposit returned. This is not rocket science folks.

Any ADULT apartment hunting, with half a brain, can get a police report/printout from the police to make an informed judgment about how really safe a complex actually is. One would like to see the proof of allegations made about crime. My police report issued in August 2004 [going back to 2002] by the Vernon constabulary showed no report of such an event.

If you do your homework, you will not find a quieter, safer, better maintained apartment with the square footage, storage, laundry hook-ups, parking as far south as Cromwell for the money. And I defy anyone, unless they are juveniles who have never owned real property in their lives, to refute the facts. The facts speak for themselves.
