This is a long message so I will cut to the worst stuff: We could keep notes when our neighbors across the hall and above us have sex it is loud and clear, even when it is 32 outside it is still hot inside, unbearable on a sunny day, windows are impossible to open and the rental office make up a lot of rules and laws that dont really exist, like you can't back up to a parking spot so that you don't shoot your exhaust into the building' You can't have boxes on the floor because it is a fire hazard' I am a fire protection engineer and I told the office that boxes don't spontaneously combust so why would it be a fire hazard, they didn't have an answer they said it's 'just there rule'. When we first looked at Santini Villa they were very friendly and willing to help us. Since the day we signed our lease everything has been down hill. They raise the rent a minimum of $50 a year, they have you give them 60 days notice so no other apartments will know if they have openings, we live in the apartments not the town houses and they treat us like we are lepers. They wait until snow storms are over to plow and salt, there have been several falls on there steps and they refuse to do anything about it, something as simple as putting a bucket of sand out is beyond them. They are very rude and act like they are doing you a favor by talking to you. Two advantages we have found are there is plenty of parking for multiple people though don't be suprised if someone parks directly in back of you and blocks you in, this has happened to us many times in snow storms and the second is the kitchen area, cabinets and appliances are new and nice but small although we have had the sink, microwave and oven replaced over the course of two years. We have had problems with the shower, the toilet, the oven all of which needed to be replaced but in all honesty were done so in a reasonably fast fashion. Our mailbox doesn't close and our mail falls all over the floor for anyone to take and the rental office can't be bothered with fixing it. The washer and dryers are from the 50's and make sooo much noise, even though they are in the basement they keep us up at night. For years we have thought it was better at their townhouses but we have heard as many if not more complaints from people that live there. The possitive reviews are very similar, I would say they are all from the rental office we actually even saw someone from the office writing a possitive review on this site when we were waiting to see apartments.
