It was okay but no prize

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2002
I lived at Southwind for two years. I really loved Amanda the manager there. She was extremely supportive and easy going but also very professional. I only have good things to say about her and the maintenance staff.
Although there was one maintenance guy who brought his children to the complex after hours and let them play in the rec area. I didn't care for this since they were loud and cursed up a storm. I lived on the top floor of a two bedroom. One day they were playing volleyball and one of those kids threw the damn ball up onto my deck. The next thing I heard someone stomping around on the roof and low and behold, it was the maintenance guy coming down from the roof to my deck, unannounced to fetch the frickin' volleyball! If I hadn't had my screendoor locked he probably would have come right into the place and robbed me. He looked the type. Also, if he had any respect he would have knocked on my door first or called the office.
I wished the building I lived in had been maintained better. The staircase in the rear of the building was wobbly and decaying and frayed carpeting resided on the last step so if you weren't careful you could possibly break your neck after tripping. The rear doors were always left ajar because some of the tenants were too lazy to go in through the front or remember to brign their door key. Security was sometimes an issue.
The floors and walls are paper thin and I had a retarded loud mouth neighboor who ran several tenants out via harrassment and threats. She was loud and would make trouble with everyone she didn't like or who didn't like her. A real busy body and real trash. I never understood why Amanda let her remain in the complex for years. Management had every right not to renew her lease but they did. It was rather unfair so I opted to move after two years of --------. Next door neighbors were also a pretty sight, loud, rowdy and slamming doors was like a national pastime or something. A neighbor downstairs smoked a cigar and his livingroom was under my bedroom which was really a stupid layout. Every mornign and every night I had the displeasure of inhaling his ghastly smoke.
Rent was pretty high there but it was okay. Never had any other major problems though. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
