I WISH I NEVER HAD TO LEAVE

I have been at Southwind for only 2 years and I'm so sorry to have to leave. With an ailing parent, I have no choice but to move back home to help with their care.
However, I must say that I love this place! I spent every weekend at the pool reading and relaxing; I work out 4 times a week in the gym without having to worry about the chaos of a public gym; and I find myself stopping in to the office at least once every two weeks just to chat. I am always greeted with a smile and they have hot coffee (or lemonade in the Summer) and cookies. Amanda is such an interesting and kind person and I truly believe that she sincerely cares about every single one of her tenants. There's no BS here. I can understand why people stay for 10-20-30 years. Sure wish I could.
Some places have cheaper rent, but you definately get what you pay for. I've let $$ sway me before and had to realize after I was bound by a lease that there was drugs or vandalism or they just didn't take care of the place. At Southwind you get what you pay for and you're surrounded by people who work and make decent incomes - people who are more likely to take pride in the place that they live.
I would say that you're LUCKY if you get the chance to live at Southwind. Get in while you can because they're almost always full (it seems, anyway!).
