Nice but anti-fun

My roommate and I are fresh out of college and very respectful individuals, but within the first few weeks of living here we had two complaints and the cops called. Some of the elderly people are very nice, but most just want to be left alone and/or want to make your life a living hell by complaining about every pin drop they hear. So I was surprised when the management threatened to throw us out per the complaint of a few delusional white-hairs and refused to believe that perhaps we were just normal 20-something-year-olds going to bed around midnight and waking up for work (gasp!) That being said, the apartment is beautiful and spacious, the area seems safe, and there's plenty of parking. The pool is nice and the grounds are aesthetically pleasing but, once again, there are a lot of "no-fun" rules (can't throw a ball around while in the pool'!) People were giving my roommate and I the evil eye for playing toss on the grass in front of our apartment! So I'd say if you want to exhibit any sort of youthful fun, this is not the place for you. And it's too bad, because it would be perfect otherwise...

I lived at Westgate for a few years until 2 years ago, and had the bad luck of living next to a couple of "fun loving" just out of college kids. I am not by any means a white hair. The walls there are extraordinarily thin and if the tenant doesn't have a lot of carpet covering the floors, the noise amplifies. Unfortunately, a lot of the younger people moving in don't realize that it isn't the dorm at college anymore, and we all suffered for it. This complex is indeed for older, mature people. Even families with kids were quieter and more considerate than several of the young professionals that lived there. It's a place for grown-ups.....
