Westwood is a ok place to live with more negatives than positives. Number one it is in West Hartford by zip code but Hartford by quality. The place is mostly families with tons of kids, so if you are a young person don't move here. I lived here for a year and felt that the rent was too high for what you were getting in return. Westwood makes it such a hassle for you to have a guest over. There is a callbox they have to deal with than a gate. You the tenant have to personally go down and get them a visitor pass too. If your visitor doesn't have one they don't give you a warning like any rational person would do, they tow you visitor's car at $96 a pop. This is made even easier with the towing company living right on the grounds.

Hot water is included but not heat, so expect to budget another $75-$90 a month for your electric bill. Westwood comes with its own deck which is nice, however, watch out the pigeons from the near by park leave their mark on your deck.

Westwood comes equipt with its own gym which is fair at best (it is mandatory you sign up your first year) even if you belong to another gym you must pay the $150 your first year.

Overall Westwood is a great place if you have kids and don't have guests frequent. If you are a young professional, don't move here you will be greatly disappointed.
