I've lived at Woodhaven for two years with my boyfriend and a roommate. We liked Woodhaven because it was the cheapest around. There is also plenty of parking! Which is a plus if you are living with a couple roommates and you all have cars. It is very clearly a college-student apartment complex. I live in building 400 and it is by far the worst in terms of partying and noise. So if you are looking to party all day and all night.. live in building 400, otherwise live in one of the other buildings. The apartment complex is old and the floorboards squeak like crazy. You can hear people walking above and you often hear pounding on the ceiling by people below who are annoyed you walking around your apartment. People are not respectful of your space or belongings as they are stupid college kids (for example do not leave laundry unattended in the laundry room or bad things might happen to it). If you are looking somewhere to crash to get through college and do not want to spend $$$ on expensive rent.. this would be a good place. Right now we are in the process of moving out because we want something nicer and quieter.
One positive thing about woodhaven besides the price is Lynn the manager. She is very helpful and nice and will often help you out if you need to stay an extra month or two. Leases tend to be very flexible since so many uconn students stay here.
