I have lived at River's Bend for 3 years, in 2 different apartments and I really like it. Yes, the appliances are old - but they work so why does age matter' I have dogs and I do pick up after them, but people often don't pick up after their dogs. While this is annoying, I really don't expect Management to be babysitters. If I see someone not picking up after their dogs, I say something directly to them - the adult way to handle an issue with a neighbor. We don't pay for concierge service so I don't expect the staff to cater to my every whim - that's not what they are there for. It's true that electric bills can be high and power goes off in storms and street lights take forever to ge repaired, but I found out that all of those things are controlled by CL&P, not the management company. Good luck getting a public utility to do anything! If you are looking for modern and state of the art apartments - you won't like it here. But, if you are looking for something pretty peaceful with beautiful grounds and comfortable apartments then River's Bend is a good choice.
