the place to call home until i buy a home...

i have lived in 6 apartments in the past 5 years. this is the first place where i renewed my lease.
some things i like:
close to everything. i do work in town, but i fill up my 16 gallon tank on my toyota camry only once every 2-3 weeks. there really is no reason to leave the area...if only we could get a movie theater (about 10 miles away, either in enfield or manchester) and a starbucks (the next town over...maybe 4 miles)
i walk to the grocery store (10 minute walk from door to door), when i am too lazy to go to the gym i use the complex's, 2 fairly big pools (one indoor and one outdoor), hiking trails, river where you can launch your kayak/canoe, bbq areas for large parties (no renting one of the town's properties)
it's a quiet area. i live on the playground area, so there are always people out playing, and noise really echos, since it's such a big area, but i've never had an issue of anyone being loud after 11pm. i also almost never hear my neighbors, and they almost never hear me...walls are thick.
garbage and recycling is in each parking lot, no walking (or in some places i lived, driving) to the garbage dumpster and hoping the bag doesn't break on the way.
when you have an issue with your apartment it is taken care of in 24 hours or less.
you can pay your bill online, or have it directly taken out of your bank account...great for those people who are like me and forget that rent is due.
you can switch to another complex, owned by the same company, and not break your lease or have to pay fees. they have a ton of complexes in most of the 50 states.
you earn equity on your rental, and get it, provided you build or buy a home when you leave equity residential rentals.
now, since it can't all be great...cons:
electric bills...are ridiculous in the winter. i have an 800 square foot apartment and it was costing about 200-300/month...and trust me, i don't waste energy or keep the thermostat high.
when you move in, you get shown an "apartment that is similar to yours" but not the one you will be living in. the one i was shown was amazing compared to the one that i actually rented. i think mine had all the original shelving and appliances from the 70's, when it was built. the good part is, you have 30 days from the time you move in to change your mind, so if you can't live with what you got, you can always find another place on the complex or just another place.
they say the reason for not being shown the apt you will be renting is because "it isn't clean, yet" this is the only rental company (i've rented from them before) that does this, out of the close to 100 apartments, in multiple states, that i have looked into. the other places apologize for it being dirty and then open the door.
overall, this is a great complex with better amenities than any other place in the area. the price, just based on the apartment itself, is about the same as similar apartments in the area, but again, you get all the amenities, that you don't get with the other places.

You forgot to mention that we're also very close to the train station -_- Seriously, I have never lived in the past or expect to live in the future in such a convenient, yet quiet place! PriceChopper, Subway, Gas station, liquor store, pizza, Dunkin's Donuts, Chinese restaurant, airport, train station, 30-sec drive from the highway, the list goes on and on. Yet at the same time, the place is so quiet and beautifully kept. On top of that, I rented my condo unit from a private owner and I'm paying far less than most folks. Sorry...
One big complaint, though. The laundry room. I simply don't understand this - even though almost all the people I've met here dress nicely and look professional, so many of them either don't bother picking up their lint from the dryers or simply throwing it to the floor. As a result, the laundry room is often quite messy. I hope that management can do something about it.
