Not a bad place - I felt inclined to write a review since all the reviews on here are over 5 years old ... The Park Terrace is a decent property, a little outdated, but in general decent shape. You can't beat the price for the area and the Adam's Morgan / Columbia Heights area has REALLY improved in the past couple of years, and there is a lot less danger than before. I have walked home at ...Full review of Park Terrace

Awesome building - I've lived in the Regent since June '08 and I've loved it. This building is beautiful. My apartment is beautiful. If anything breaks, maintenance is there immediately or the next day to fix it. Everyone is really nice and it's not that much more expensive than really crappy places in DC. I remember looking at a few apartments on U Street that were not nice and only $50 less ...Full review of The Regent

Walter Reed Apartments

Not bad for the price - I lived here from 2003-2004 and had a corner studio. The apartment was far larger than any other studio you'll find in DC and likely a couple hundred dollars cheaper - with utilities included! It's an old building and a bit dreary, but Victor (rental manager) and Reggie (building upkeep) were great. The tenants in the building, overall, were extremely friendly. I recommend ...Full review of Walter Reed Apartments

Nice price - great location - Just know what you are paying for - I have lived in the building for 6 months. The staff are friendly and courteous. Yes, there have been some roach issues, but the staff is quick to get the exterminator in to spray for them. I am super clean, but I think when people are moving in and out around me it stirs them up. The maintenance staff is very friendly and will quickly help you with any issues. Utilities are ...Full review of Twin Oaks West Apartments

Great Deal in Columbia Heights - I lived in the New Amsterdam for two years. I paid $1300 for a two bedroom apartment, which is a better deal than I found anywhere else in NW. The location is awesome, four blocks from the metro and the new Target. 14th st can be a little noisy on the weekends, it's a major artery. If you want to sleep with your windows open don't live here. I never felt that the ...Full review of New Amsterdam

A pretty good deal for independents - When I came here looking for an apartment, I was a student-to-be. The one bedroom was a little more than what I was looking to spend, but the kitchens in the studios were much too small for someone like me who likes to cook. The manager was very reasonable in negotiating a reduced leasing price (which went up once my lease expired, but hey, whose doesn't?), and was overall ...Full review of Hawaiian Gardens Apartments

Convenient location and decent amenities - Nice location in the Foggy Bottom area. Walking distance to the grad schools as well as the undergraduate classrooms. Tenants range from grad students, to undergrads, to people who have been living here for decades. Some units are nicer others. Underground parking is a huge plus but there's a waiting list to get a spot. Washer/dryers are in the basement. Front desk is nice to have but ...Full review of Letterman House

Great value, nice character - The apartments have interesting character, though there are no special ammenities that come with the building. Location on a fairly quiet street close to Adams Morgan. Parking was better here than on neighboring streets, though that may have changed. The manager at the time (Andy) was incredibly helpful and personable. I haven't seen the place in 2 years, but I bet he's ...Full review of Parkside

3000 Connecticut Ave NW - Cathedral Mansion Center - 3000 Connecticut Ave NW is in an excellent location - directly across the street from the entrance to the National Zoo. It is in the midst of many excellent restaurants, shops, and nightlife spots. The Cleveland Park library is blocks away - as is Vace - THE Italian deli you should frequent. It is maybe half a mile in either direction to a metro - equidistant to Woodley Park and ...Full review of Cathedral Mansion
