The place is relatively cheap given the location. It's a 'no thrills' place- basically a place to hang your hat while you wait for the next bigger and better place/space. Had no problems with staff/mgnt/maint. Just make sure if maint. comes in they give you notice so you can prepare for them (move stuff out of their way OR they'll do it for you).

Other reviews are true: Occasional noise from outside can either keep you awake or wake you in the morning (especially if you live on the back side directly above/next to the parking garage and trash dumpsters). If you don't have an alarm clock, no worries the trash collector will wake you up early mornings on a regularly scheduled basis.

Very diverse group of tenants so some odors from cooking may be offensive as they consume the hallways. Although there may be a slight roach problem, Mgmt is pretty good about having Pest Control invade your space on a regular basis. I found both heating and AC a non issue- once they gear up for either once/yr (centrally controlled).

If you have a car and don't use their parking spaces ($ extra/month) you'll have to contend with all the other side street parkers. Issue with this is in the timing of arrival to find spaces. The later the evening rolls around, the more difficult it is to find something (a legal spot that is- unless you leave by 7 AM before commuter restrictions apply). Budget for parking infractions/fees just in case.

One other thing, I've only heard of some good laundry mat stories (facility shared by entire bldg) but never saw anything but soap, suds and clean clothes (darn!).
