The 1500 Massachusetts Avenue Apartments offer affordable living in one of Washington´s most desirable neighborhoods. The building is located across from Scott Circle and is surrounded by embassies and hotels. Dupont Circle, Thomas Circle, the White House, and three Metro stations are within a ten minute walk. I have a studio apartment with lots of closet space and a huge bathroom/dressing room. The tiny kitchenette is the only real downside to my apartment. The view out my window is stunning---I can see the Cathedral and Rock Creek Park. Other residents are not so lucky, particularly those whose windows face the back of the building. The management is attentive and helpful. They have been aggressively tackling the building´s roach infestation (winter 2002 was particularly bad) and their efforts seem to be paying off. The hallways look shabby, but the grounds are well kept and the lobby is spotless. Rent is extremely reasonable given the location. The rich diversity of residents makes life at 1500 Massachusetts Avenue interesting.
