Why don?t I start with the good points' The location is one of the best in all of DC. You can walk to Dupont Circle in ten minutes. The apartment is right by three metro stops. Two of them are for the red line and one on the orange line. You can gaze at the white house by going outside to 16th street. The area is very safe for a city and I have never seen anything out of the ordinary in 9 years since I have been there. The rent is the cheapest I could find in that area and I looked around. The management is very good and urgent repairs will be attended to very quickly. Now I will write about the bad points. The bugs are a constant problem because the place is old. I believe it was put up in the early 50?s. No matter how clean you keep it you WILL have roaches. If you cant handle bugs go some place else. They do spray for them but it seems that the roaches are invincible. My neighbors are very quiet but I have heard some apartments that are blasting music but that is rare. The power situation is a problem as well. As I said the place is old and was wired long ago when people just didn?t use as many devices as today. I would say I blow a fuse maybe once a mouth. The apartment does provide fuses for you so you don?t have to pay for them. The hallways look like crap. The carpet is ripped and basically needs replacing.
