RODENTS!!!

I am moving out at the end of the month because of a HUGE RODENT PROBLEM I have had in the last two weeks. I caught EIGHT (8) mice in the last three weeks. Despite my own efforts of keeping my place clean (I'm pretty ---- about being clean) and two visits from maintenance (they laid down traps), I still see mice running across my floor. I am unable to sleep at night and get any work done.
The staff is mixed about addressing this. On one side, they show concern and want to help. On the other, they don't seem to really care and tell me, "All we can do is put your name down and the exterminator will come by." Sure, the exterminator came by, but I still see mice! (and mice crap on the floor, in my cupboards, etc.) I just caught one this morning running across the kitchen area. I wanted to take a picture and upload it to show you all, but I wanted to quickly get that thing out of here.
Noise is also an issue. Do not live on the Massachusetts side of the building. The ever-so-professional Washington D.C. police/fire/secret service LOVE THEIR SIRENS. You'll hear at least 8-10 sirens a day. I've heard so many that I can tell you exactly what the siren is (police vs. ambulance vs. security detail motorcade).
I know, I've lived here for almost two years. You can't beat the price or location, period. You're close to the Metro, walking distance to Safeway/Whole Foods, several restaurants and work (if you want to be downtown). Plus, their are some really nice people that live/work here.
In short, I do not recommend 1500 Massachusetts Ave. despite some of the good qualities. Good luck.
