Been living here for 3 years, will be moving out soon. It was a decent place in 06, but nothing has been done to keep it up. The hallways have the most disgusting carpet I've ever seen in my life. 2 years ago they replaced it on the 5th floor, but still nowhere else. They also have problems with pests. Recently it has gotten much worse, rats, bed bugs, roaches. The bedbugs were the worst by far. They supposedly fumigate 3 times a year, but it doesn't do anything. Also if you face Mass ave there is a community of crack-heads living outside at the statue. No, I'm not joking, I can see them smoking it from my room. Sometimes people let them in to use the bathrooms, I've even witnessed one doing number two behind the bushes out front.

During the daytime, the front desk works well. They are really good at getting your mail and packages and notifying you when you get something. The daytime ladies who work are very nice. The night-shift lady is always sleeping, while I can see its a boring job, its still a job. And often people who don't live there are just let in with no questions asked. Rent always is climbing, and the building never improving. During seasonal changes, they wait till half the building complains before turning on the heat or ac.

Also there are some really crazy people living there. There is one man on my floor who just stands there outside smoking all day, wearing the same clothes every day. He stands in the hallway staring at the exit sign. Its kind of creepy.

The convenience store is nice, its run by a Korean couple and they have quite a selection for a small store and prices are reasonable. Although occasionally one of the crack-heads from across the street gets in with some money and tries to heckle with them and get alcohol.

Also, management is trying to sell the building, and the tenants are forming a tenant association. I honestly think management has given up and is trying to run everyone out so they can make bank.

My suggestion: Don't live here.

Catatonic smoking dude was finally evicted. Tenant association and economy successfully defeated the first building sale attempt.
