The location is great. 7-10 minutes walk to the Dupont circle metro station. The building is old but the condition is acceptable. However, something weird is going on in the whole company/management (The Barac co.). Be aware if you try to rent the place from the company.

Here is my experience:
I went there to check out the apartment.

It was a holiday but the manager still showed me the room because that was him who set up the schedule. And I was thankful for that.

However, after turning in the application and money for background checking, my application disappeared for one week.

I called the manager; he said he's already submitted it and refused to answer or return my call since then. I called the rental office; they said they have not received any application from me and did not know what was going on.

I told them that maybe it just got lost and I can submit another application on the third day of turning in my first one. The office then said that someone's application has been approved and mine is too late for that anyway. On the fifth day, the rental office said that they just received my application but the person has already taken the place. As if that was my fault, and they were showing me some mercy. They told me that they can transfer my application to another property (which is still under their management) with no extra charge but refused to refund my money.

The location is good and the rent is inexpensive, but the "I-don't-know-what's-going-on" staff and lame management are just UNBEARABLE.
