Not Great, But Not Bad - We were looking for a convenient spot in DC and this apartment complex seemed to fit our needs, based on location, relative safety and price of rent. Be aware that the building and its fixtures are old, so the wear & tear on them is obvious - leaking A/C units which will be replaced in the winter, outlets that "give" when you plug things in and a rocking toilet that was ...Full review of Hawaiian Gardens Apartments

Great place next to George Washington University, DC - The location is very good, next to GW medical school, Hospital, Law and other schools, metro, next door is new Whole Food. Great place for all the eating place, and the people are friendly. The front desk workers are nice, and they pick up your packages for you. There's a laundry room downstairs. ...Full review of The President Condominiums

Good and Bad - The neighbors are great!! The location is ideal. The maintenance is HORRIBLE. I put in a request (when I first moved in) for new doors in the unit, which were broken. They tried to fix them with screws which caused the doors to bend, amking it impossiblefor the doors to close. It took them all of 2 months to replace them. I put in a request, within the first month of living here, ...Full review of Grandview Village

Old, but a nice building - I have no real complaints about this place. The building is old and the paint job is ridiculous (it's this aquamarine color; looks like a hospital from the 50's), but it's a great apartment building. The building is managed by an older French lady that likes to know what is going on in her building. Nosy may be a little too much to say, but she will want to talk to you. ...Full review of Clarence House

I live here - I'm not sure what is up with the other reviews. I live here and have since 2006. The building is clean and well kept. I have not had any type of rodent in my apartment in three years. I've seen two roaches in three years. It's called city living. Perhps the others had visited during a renovation because i've never seen anything in the hallways except other tenants. ...Full review of The August
