Management will be very sweet to get you to rent, but once you are a tenant,--they will treat you like a criminal

The building is decent enough, but it in no way makes up for the horrible management. Sandra Walker is 2400 Pennsylvania Avenue's main problem, and the receptionist, Nicole is not far behind. If I could do you a favor, it would be to tell you that these two women will be very nice and sweet-talk you as much as possible to get you to rent an apartment, but as soon as you become a tenant, all loyalty and protection of you will cease. It is even worse when you decide to leave the apartment building. You are no longer someone they need to be polite to, they will bring prospective renters to your room without sufficient notice, and they will go out of their way to make your exit as difficult as possible. They will tell you that your apartment was spotless when you moved in (although it may not be) and then they will make every attempt to keep your security deposit. You will be treat like a child no matter your age. Like the review below me, I lived on the first floor this past year and had significant contact with these two women--far too much for my liking. Jeff, who does maintenance is the only redeeming quality of this building--besides the rooftop deck which Sandra only opens at her convenience and desire.
I write this review because I had the option of living in this building as long as I wanted--I was at the point of being able to pay month-to-month because I had lived here over a year--and I have chosen to go through the draining process of finding a new apartment because I cannot deal with this management any longer.
Warning to all: if you decide to live here, you will realize it is not worth the trouble upon your leaving the building. Anyone who has a positive review of this building, has not moved out yet.
