Sandra no longer works here. Sandra was very difficult and I understand tenant's complaints about 2400 Penn from a couple years ago. But now, things have gotten a lot better. Vonni and Jeff are great and easy to work with. I have zero noise through the walls, but there is some noise through the windows. A lot of students live here, but I have never experienced an issue with students having noisy parties. However, that is typical of city living. especially since DC does not have high rise apartment living. Excellent location--near the blue line metro. near several bus lines and the circulator. Easy walk to Georgetown for shopping/restaurants/movies. Block from Trader Joes, also near Safeway. Near GW campus. I have never seen a single insect or rodent in the building. Laundry in the basement is easy to use. The only thing I feel slightly lacking is that there is no dishwasher in the kitchen, but again, with my friend's apartment, this seems pretty typical for DC. Roof deck is very nice.

You must be from the hood if you think this place is nice. it is a dump and the management is crooked in charging above the rent control limits. Get smart and check your rent with the DC rental accomodation office.

I posted the original posting. I recently moved from 2400 Penn because I have relocated to a different city after having lived there for about 3 years (with normal wear and tear on the apartment). Just to update things a little, I recently received my security deposit back. First, I received the entire deposit back plus interest (interest bearing account is required by DC law). Secondly, I received the deposit back earlier then 2400 Penn is required to send it back according to DC laws. In addition, although 2400 Penn raised my rent once a year, they did so according to DC laws.
To "anonymous": Maybe you should stop living in a fantasy land where landlords never raise the rent. By the way I grew up in a 5 bedroom house in the suburbs. I have also lived in rentals in Boston MA, Atlanta GA, and Philadelphia PA. Grow up and get a life.
