Regent House - I have been a tenant for years here. Although it has had its problems for my viewpoint it seems the main culpability has been the on site managers they've had for prior to the current lady. One seemed to not be able to get much done...while the current gal is much more efficient. While I am not crazy about Vanguard and its hide and seek methods of oversight the caliber of maintenance staff ...Full review of The Regent House

It's nice - if you're quiet. - This is a great place - if you're looking for a basic apartment in a well maintained, older building that hasn't been completely rehabbed since it was built in 1927. The management can be a little forgetful and their book keeping isn't immaculate. But the apartments are cute and since the walls are plaster (not studs and drywall) the sound insulation between apartments is good. ...Full review of Sulgrave Manor

Pretty good deal - I searched a lot in this area of DC and like the Century for the combination of convenient location, good size, and relatively fair price. On 16th St NW, it is close to the Columbia Heights metro, 16th St buses (which go from the White House to Silver Spring, MD), easy walking distance to Adams Morgan and U Street nightlife, and there are a few grocery shopping ...Full review of The Century

Excellent value for location (if you don't mind noise) - I lived here for just over a year and probably would have stayed longer if I hadn't bought a place. Here's the lowdown... THE POSITIVES: Location: Virtually unbeatable. Walk to all Metros (yellow/green just 2 blocks, others 5 blocks). At the corner of two very quiet neighborhood streets but never felt unsafe walking day or night, especially ...Full review of 1206 10th Street Northwest

A GREAT place to live in downtown DC - I lived in this building for 2.5 years and hands-down loved it. Very clean building. Once in a blue moon either the building's AC or water pipes need to be repaired and at most, you will be inconvenienced for one day. Otherwise, management is very nice and takes measures to prevent problems rather than just fix them when they arise. The rooftop is great, the gym is fine.
