I looked everywhere on the Red Line in NW DC, and this building has the best price for what you get in any neighborhood. Cleveland Park is a great area, small town feel, but very close to the city..a cab can be hailed to get to Adam's Morgan or Georgetown right outside the building, and the metro can shoot you in to Dupont in 5 minutes, so you have 3 easy options for a night out. Also, if you're more in the mood for a neighborhood low key night, There are about 5 neighbohood bars, a pool hall, right down the street. The neighborhood has everything you need.

2501 has a great pool, a gym that gets the job done (nothing special), and the apartments are great. Big, clean, and they all have balconies or patios. Washer and dryer in-unit is also a great feature. Porter street has plenty of free parking as well for guests.

Overall, if you can afford this place, look no further, it's perfect.

Some cons:

The hill is steep to the metro, although it's only 4 minutes (elderly might not enjoy it)
