We lived in 2501 Porter for a year and enjoyed our time here. While the rent is expensive, we found it to be comparable to other areas in Cleveland Park. The staff is pretty responsive and usually very nice. The front office staff are excellent. Our maintenance issues (and there weren't many) were fixed almost immediately. Our apartment was also usually pretty quiet, although there were times we could hear our neighbors on the balconies late at night. On the downside, there is a steep fee when you sign on for the use of facilities that's never refunded. Also you may be paying for a lot of facilities (shared office, pool, gym) that you may or may not want to use. We didn't stay more than a year, so I don't know whether our rent would have increased (I suspect it would have), but for a year 2501 Porter was a very good place for us.
