Love the location. Friendly neighborhood, pleasant building, nice lobby for chatting -- wonderful art deco paneling and other features. Laundry is expensive and the machines are not great. The resident manager can be rather brusque. Also, repairs are usually done quickly but sometimes you have to submit more than one request, which I think is unacceptable. The hallways are not attractive--the carpeting is embarrassingly old and outdated and the signage throughout, including on the apt doors themselves, is incredibly cheap and ugly. It would be great if they updated the hallways with new carpeting and wall sconces to spruce up the place, and it could easily be done in keeping with the art deco quality of the building.
