Yes, this building does have a faulty AC unit which they are planning to repair in the Fall. Yes, this building does have GIANT roaches...I spotted 3 so far. My apartment is very well kept, and I don't leave food out. I think the bugs and rats are actually because we live right next to Rock Creek park, and not because of the building management itself. When I have spoken to them about these issues, they are very responsive and send exterminators right away. I did get stuck in the elevator, although it was during the heat wave, when generally all major cities warn to not take them. The gym is small and crowded at times, but the machines are new and impressive. The laundry room needs A LOT of work!
The apartment is a bit expensive, but it's very close to the metro, stores, and restaurants. Although I have had a few problems here and there, I still believe it's a great place to live.
