The Chastleton

Great turned TERRIBLE - I lived in the Chastleton for 3 years. The first year (2002) my roomies and I loved it. Our apartment was beautiful, had an amazing view, location was safe and efficient, the security officers were extremely nice, the apartment was very spacious, the staff was friendly and understanding and we rarely had problems. When we did, they were taken care of immediately.

A pretty good option - Maintenance response time is about two to three weeks and is pretty good. Response time should be improved, but the service is okay. Parking is excellent and never a problem. The apartment layouts are better than most DC apartments in this price range. Most of the apartments actually have hallways in the apartments seperating the rooms, which is uncommon in my apartment search and a nice ...Full review of Washington Apartments

Thrilled to Be Cloistered - I am a professional woman working in Solar Power at Dupont Circle. I have lived in The Cloisters for three years and I cannot say enough good things about the apartment, the area and the management and maintenance team. They have all been wonderful. The space is huge for DC and I would have to pay $2500-$3500 if it was on Conn. Ave. or downtown DC. The apartment itself is surrounded by trees ...Full review of Cloisters

SCAM to get your $$$ - When applying a roach scurries across the leasing office floor and leasing agent Mohammed rushes to kill it. The "special" being offered is based on a "tax credit" and the leasing agent who does the calculations for the "tax credit" apartments uses inflation tactics to make your salary more than what you actually make. I was told to place the $100 holding fee down on an ...Full review of Capitol Park Plaza

No! - I lived in the Cambridge for almost 2 years. I had to find an apartment really fast in D.C. and I found the Cambridge. I was really thrilled with the price, but now I understand why it was so affordable. For one, the apartment I had was fully carpeted. I admit that I am a messy person, but if your dining room table is over carpet, your carpet will get pretty nasty after a while. ...Full review of Cambridge Apartments

Exceptionally responsive with maintenance; courteous & helpful leasing office - I was surprised to read a very poor review by another tenant because I have had an absolutely flawless experience living at the Chesapeake. I love my apartment, which has lots of light and is both aesthetically pleasing and very functional; I always get compliments from guests. Moreover, I am very impressed with the turnaround whenever I have had things breakdown in the apt. When I ...Full review of Chesapeake

Its Ok! - I have lived at Stanton Glenn for almost a year now, and it s been an ok experience. It is my first apartment alone, and I am hardly there, I jokingly say I just use it as a storage unit and to sleep and take showers. It gets a bit noisy, but that doesn't bother me much. The building could be kept cleaner, the rug by the front door smells and looks old or the smell is just ...Full review of Stanton Glen Apartments
