Dont believe the negative reviews. I'll guarantee you they are from a) people who couldn't get in the building or b) disgruntled students who have been evicted. This is a great building and the upgrades are outstanding. Hell, one person reviewed it who hasn't even lived here! He's pissed because Avalon management wouldn't rent to him. Dude, did you ever think you might not be Avalon at Foxhall material' Go away.

Wrong. I visited Avalon. Yes, the apartments are gorgeous, but the management charges exorbitant fees, far in excess of the competition. I don't think it is smart to fritter away money in this fashion. As for Avalon not renting to someone because he/she is "not Avalon material," that is discrimination. Most of the people I saw in the building appeared to be narcissists -- very concerned about appearance, but lacking any depth, character, or substance -- It was along the lines of "look at how privileged/cool we are." By the way, that is he attitude of the nouveux riche or wannabes. Truly wealthy people do not need to draw attention to themselves in this fashion. In fact, they would opt to be more underestated. Do you think Warren Buffet or Rockefeller would affect such attitudes? JDR actually took pubilc transporation to save money. Rich people don't become or stay rich by wasting their money. They are frugal. The apartment is pretentious and overpriced. You do not get what you pay for here.
