Its beautiful apartment, well situated, and allows pets. It is surrounded by parks, and offers plenty of covered parking. the maintenance staff is friendly and responsive to direct requests. there are plenty of students in this building because of its proximity to two universities (american and georgetown), so expect there to be a certain level of noise and disruption at odd hours.
However, the building is a fundamental health hazard. the building is fire prone, and frequent false alarms lull the residents into ignorance. There were two fires on my floor within the span of a month. The management is borderline inept, and out-right liars. The outside parking and traffic situation is dangerous, as I have been nearly struck several times. Also, people do not adequately take care of their animals, and the result is dog feces where you would least suspect it.
Trash is not collected adequately, particularly if you live on the lower floors. It will tend to pile in the hallways.
