Overpriced, overrated

I lived in Avalon at 4100 Mass. for 9 months and I will never live there again. Although the management styles itself as friendly and premium, they are most often cold, unfriendly and unhelpful - even as you fork over $2,000-3,000 per month. Three examples will suffice:
1. Each Avalon door has a light outside, though mine didn't work. Although I put in about a dozen service requests and spoke with the front desk and manager, by the time I left after 9 months, the light was still broken.
2. The way the management tried to entice me and my roommates to stay was to tell us that they were "only" raising the rent by $300. After we balked at that, the manager offered to take off $50. We couldn't believe he was serious.
3. I once parked my car in the parking lot without a permit and woke six hours later to find it towed across the city to Fort Tottem. I had to take off from work and pay $180 to this thieving towing company and when I asked the management for some compensation (since they have a contract with the towing company) they refused. What's more, they didn't even offer that first principle of good managment - an apology.
After that, I decided to move out. Although the apartments are nice, there are much better (and cheaper) places around town that know that classiness consists of more than premium prices and an upturned nose. Don't move in, especially if you're an AU student.
