We just moved out after living in the Avalon for a year and feel obligated to write about our negative experience there. We loved the location and because we have a dog, loved being so close to the trail.
The management is awful... they tell you when you move in that the back is a dog run area, yet they ask you to keep them on the leash...
they are terrible about their financials... it took them 7 months to let us know we owed them $15 from our first months pro-rated rent.... my guess is if they owe you anything, you will never get it...
the night desk attendants always park their car under the awning, leaving little room for anyone else....

the maintenance dept. is not bad.... they will TRY to fix your problem... unlikely though...

and the water... you will NEVER get a shower that has a consistent water temp!

and the pool- i mean bathtub.... is only open for 4 months out of the year, and forget about ever going up there to relax.... it is always noisy!

and the parking garage SUCKS
